I wish I’d known about brand strategy when I was building my first business. 

I started as a photographer, thinking the best way to grow was to shoot everything—fashion, products, weddings, food. I thought this would show my range. Instead? No one knew what to come to me for. I was the artistic equivalent of, If you’re talking to everyone, you’re talking to no one.
